‘An Eco-Friendly’ Alternative to Plastic Wrap’
Beeswax wraps offer a fantastic, sustainable alternative to single-use plastic wrap, helping reduce plastic waste and protecting the environment. They are made from natural, biodegradable materials and are compostable at the end of their lifespan.
With proper care, beeswax wraps can be reused for up to a year or more, making them a cost-effective option compared to continually buying disposable plastic wrap. They also allow food to breathe, helping it stay fresh for longer, while beeswax naturally provides antibacterial properties.
Beeswax wraps are extremely versatile. They can be used to wrap sandwiches, cheese, fruits, vegetables, and bread, or to cover bowls and jars. They contain no pine resin or jojoba oil and are free from harmful chemicals such as BPA, which may be found in some plastic wraps. Just like cling film, beeswax wraps mould easily around food and containers. The warmth of your hands makes them pliable and adhesive, pinching the ends together ensures a secure seal.
